Staying the Course in a Turbulent World (John Gallo // Fellowship Hall) 9:30am
Christians can find it hard to live in today’s culture. Every day, believers confront opposing worldviews. The propagation of concepts such as “cancel culture”, “wokeism”, critical race theory, gender identity confusion, and other similar concepts are being pushed upon an increasingly ignorant public. Many Christians today lack the ability to discern the true nature of these issues, adhere to biblical principles, or otherwise communicate the truth with genuine affection. In this course, we will examine diverse topics such as gender identity, critical race theory, woke-ism, cancel culture, and utilize the Bible as a “toolbox” to equip us to engage others in a faithful and consistent manner.

Pastor Jeff will be preaching on Zechariah 1:1-7 “The King is Coming – Repent and Believe
Sunday, is a special service on many levels – we welcome new members, hold a baptism, and prepare for the Lord’s Supper tonight. Providentially, an infant baptism starts our advent theme, on the “Infant King” Jesus. And in our sermon, we take a break from Ephesians to break open the prophecy of Zechariah. As we prepare for Christ.

3|Evening Communion Worship
With instant Google and next-day deliveries, waiting is something few of us appreciate. But “hope” is waiting by faith. This evening is a service themed on hope. We consider two eras of hope – Ancient hope fulfilled, in Christ’s coming as a baby, by starting advent tonight. And present hope for Christ’s return. Scripture says the Lord’s Supper is a table of hope, to be practiced “until he comes” (1 Corinthians 11:26). With hope in mind, Pastor will open Revelation 4-5, and teach about heaven, our ‘holding place’ before Jesus returns. So let us join with our Old Testament saints, and turn our “waiting” into “hope.” Here is the PDF for the Evening Communion Service. Communion Bulletin: B23-12-03 Communion Evening
