Sunday School – Sunday School opening at 9:30 a.m. in the sanctuary. Then we head down to our classrooms. We have classes for all ages.

Adult Education Class

“The Flow of the Psalms” (Tony Carroscia // Fellowship Hall) now thru September 1

 We often think of the Psalms as a random collection of songs and prayers. In this class, we will see that the order of the Book of Psalms is intentional and important. As we look at an individual psalm each week (ten total), we will think about how each one fits within the flow of the book as a whole. We will also see how the psalms can help us to call out to the Lord in all of life’s circumstances, and how they ultimately point us to Christ.

2| Morning Worship |10:45am

Pastor Jeff Zehnder will be preaching from 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 “This World is Not My Home”

Morning Worship will be about hope. “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth … but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy” (Matthew 6:19-20). We as a church need a Sunday to focus directly on our eternity with the Lord. All our Scripture, songs, and prayers will be directed toward our eternity with Jesus Christ. A modern hymnwriter, Wendell Kimbrough, wrote this reassurance:

“Oh eternal weight of glory,

Oh inheritance divine,

We will see our Lord redeeming

Every past and future time.”
