Do you desire assurance that your life with God is secure both today, and eternally?

Do you know with absolute certainty that if your life were to end today, that you would be with God?

The reason the Bible was written was so that people may believe Jesus Christ exists and is the savior. The Bible also can assure a person that they have eternal life after death (John 20:31; I John 5:13). So then, how can a person know for certain?

First, GOD SAVES US. First, we need to hear from God. God shows us in his word how no person needs to worry or constantly wonder where they will spend eternity. The loving God wants us to live in confidence, not with doubts, of his mercy.

Second, WE ARE ALL SINNERS. Most people feel regret, guilt or shame in life at some point. The Bible teaches that this is common because humankind was born into a habit of wronging one another and oneself, breaking even moral things we make up for ourselves. The truth is, God commanded us to live in a certain way. The guilt we feel when we hurt others is a shadow of the guilt we carry before God for disregarding Him. Sin is neglecting or refusing to follow what God says. The Bible tells us that all have sinned and that we cannot earn our own way to heaven lest we would boast (Romans 3:23, Ephesians 2:8-9). As a result, we don’t deserve eternal life and cannot earn it with our good works. If we could work our way to heaven then eternal life could not be a free gift that brings glory to God.

Third, JESUS DIED FOR US. Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins. He rose from the dead to purchase for us a place in with God eternally. We receive this free gift only by faith (Romans 5:8, 6:23).

Today, confess your faith in Jesus Christ as your Savior by repenting of your sin and trusting in the eternal Son of God who gives you the gift of new life that will last forever (John 10:28, 29; II Corinthians 5:17).
