2022 Annual Sunday School/Congregational Picnic

    Two Mile Run Lodge // Gypsy Glen Road, Beaver, PA 15009

We are excited to invite everyone to Fairview Church’s annual Congregational Picnic at Two Mile Run Lodge!

Heidi Shepler will arrive to “open” the park for early birds at 2:00 pm. Come whenever you are able. Dinner will begin at 6:00 pm.

Scott and Heidi Shepler will be providing beef hamburgers, buns, and doing the grilling. Beverages will also be provided. Please bring along a side dish or dessert to share. If you are arriving later than 6:00, just jump right in — it’s pre-blessed food!

2022 will feature a “Dad Joke Off”….everyone is included…not just dads!!!!

Starting at 7:00 p.m. we will begin with the DAD division…followed by the MOM division…followed by the MALE division…followed by the FEMALE division…followed by the TEEN division…followed by the TEN and UNDER division.

There will be sign up sheets that day.    You may sign up for TWO divisions.

NO USE OF CELL PHONES during the competition.   Jokes must be written out on index cards.    No coaching from the crowd.   Voting will take place via applause-o-meter  (hahaha!!!!)

We will clean up the lodge and inspect the grounds for trash around 8 or 8:30. If you are able to lend a hand, we would appreciate it!

Amenities at the lodge include air conditioning; three indoor restrooms; a full kitchen with two refrigerators, a microwave, and a stove; and tables and chairs.

Outdoor recreation includes a basketball court, walking trails, playground equipment, and a creek.

Recommendations: Bring a lawn chair for outdoor sitting. Bring a towel and dry clothes/shoes for comfort if you’re planning on playing in the creek.   Bring your own insect repellant.   We look forward to spending time together as a congregation!! Feel free to invite friends and neighbors!
