Our Mission…
The Rock’s mission is to partner with parents to provide a safe environment where the Youth of the church and the community will:
- Hear the hope of the Gospel through Jesus Christ
- Be challenged to grow in their faith through Bible studies and Mission opportunities
- Foster fellowship through fun activities, games, and monthly group building events
Our Youth Leaders…
Fairview Church has the privilege of having many youth leaders, including previous youth directors Mark and Naomi Oosting, faithfully investing in the youth every week. At this time, the youth leaders are together leading the youth group as we await whom God may provide to be a new student ministries director.
Our Programs and Events …
Our group is made up of Junior and Senior High youth (entering 6th grade to exiting 12th grade) from the church and the community. They love spending time together and just hanging out. We meet weekly on Wednesday nights at 6:30pm for Bible study called “The Rock.” We also do one big event per month. These Big Events are opportunities for the youth to invite their friends, who have never been to youth group, to a fun hangout. They could be anything from a game of survivor to a New Year’s Eve ice skating trip. To stay in touch with our monthly big events, join us on facebook @ Fairview Church Youth Group (PCA)
Every year, our youth spend a week at Summer Camp along with the youth from other PCA churches in the area. This week is full of fun activities, a challenging speaker, and praise and worship. It’s a time where we can get away from the craziness of the world and as Psalms 46:10 says: “Be still, and know that I am God.” Click here for more information or to register for Super Summer Break.
Every winter, our Youth also attend a weekend retreat called Snow Camp. We leave Friday night and come home Sunday afternoon. The retreat is normally over Super Bowl Weekend and we once again “rough it” out at Laurelville Retreat Center 941 Laurelville Lane Mt. Pleasant, PA 15666.
